Hi! I’m Rob, the teacher behind Business English Booster.
I’m originally from Scotland, but Thailand has been my home for the past 17 years. I first came here and started teaching English simply to make a living—but over time, teaching became a real passion. Fourteen years later, I’m still doing what I love.
I hold a CELTA and a BSc (Hons) degree, and I’ve taught learners of all ages: primary school children, university students, and business professionals. My career has taken me through schools and universities in both Thailand and Saudi Arabia. For the past four years, I’ve focused on teaching online, helping learners from Japan, South Korea, Italy, China, and many more countries.
While teaching Business English online, I noticed that many of my students shared the same challenge:
“How can I learn idioms and phrasal verbs more easily?”
That question inspired me to create Business English Booster, a place where you can get fast, simple lessons that fit into a busy schedule. My goal is to help you learn just one useful expression each day and feel more confident using English at work.
I also enjoy recommending practical tools and resources to support your learning and save you time.
Outside the classroom, I love cycling, gardening, and eating Thai green curry (my favourite dish!). I’m married to a Thai woman, and together we’ve built a happy home here in Thailand.
